How To Do CUET Exam Preparation?

Since Central and top universities of India have started taking admission on the basis of CUET exam results the competition of students has increased. CUET (Common University Entrance Test) has become one of the most popular entrance exams in the last few months.

After passing 12th from a recognized board with at least 45-50% marks (as per category) students look to get admission to central or top universities in their favorite stream. To get admission to his/her dream college students have to face an entrance exam called CUET. The cut-off marks in this exam decide students' university and stream.

CUET Exam Structure

It is very important for students to understand the CUET exam structure first. The CUET exam consists of three sections.

  • Language-specific 

  • Domain-specific

  • General Test

Language specific: There will be 33 different languages available. Students will have an option to choose any one of them. 50 questions of their chosen language will be available and students have to answer 40 of them in 45 minutes.

Domain specific:  27 domain-specific subjects will be available. Students will have the option to choose any 6 of them as per their desire. Same as language there will be 50 questions and students have to answer 45 of them in 45 minutes.  

General Test: In the general test students will get 60 minutes where they have to answer 50 questions. The type of question will be MCQ.

Study Plan

Students have to do a self-assessment about their weaknesses and strengths. To identify the weakness students can take the help of the previous year's question papers.

If needed then students must join an online or offline coaching center to make their preparation well and good. Before choosing the CUET coaching center students should make sure about previous results, teachers, and teaching techniques of the coaching center.

Practice Regularly

It is very necessary for students to continue revision. Students should solve sample papers and previous years' papers regularly. While solving the practice paper students can improve time management also.

 

Along this students should fix daily goals. Every morning students should set a target for themselves and try to achieve that by evening. Apart from this students should do a weekly test. It will help students to know how the preparation is going on and where they have to improve more.
